Atlanta Falcons No. 1 receiver Drake London sustained a right shoulder sprain and his status is considered day-to-day, according to an NFL Network report on Sunday night, which added that London will undergo more tests.
The Falcons said after Sunday's 23-20 home loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that London is scheduled to undergo tests to determined the severity of the injury, but head coach Raheem Morris had no additional details.
London landed hard on his right shoulder in the end zone attempting to secure a touchdown pass from Michael Penix Jr. The Falcons initially believed it was ruled a touchdown before it was ruled incomplete, with the call standing after an instant-replay review.
London was targeted 15 times before leaving the game with eight receptions for 55 yards. His longest gain was 12 yards.
The Falcons played without wide receiver Darnell Mooney, who was ruled out with a shoulder injury that limited him most of training camp. The Falcons confirmed Mooney would miss multiple weeks at the outset of training camp because of the injury.
London, 24, caught 100 passes for 1,271 yards with nine touchdowns last season. Atlanta selected him eighth overall in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Southern California. He has 241 career receptions for 3,042 yards and 15 TDs.
